USC ICT -  University of Southern California Institute for creative technologies

In 1999 AD Architects developed the newly formed Virtual Human research facility located in Marina del Rey, California. The project was a partnership with Paramount Studios and USC. Four years later, AD developed the Flat World environment in Playa Vista for large scale virtual human development. In June 2010 AD Architects completed USC-ICT's newest 75,000 SF headquarters research facility which includes a 130 seat two-story theater, research labs, screening room, recording studio, edit bay and conference facilities. AD was selected to design the second phase of USC-ICT headquarters research expansion at Playa Vista. This 30,000 SF expansion features additional research labs and a 4000 SF large scale lab/studio. This project was a LEED Silver standard design. The combined 105,000 SF campus is now completed providing a unique research environment for research of the future.
