Cull Canyon Pet Resort is a creation of a long term stay ‘Pet Resort Hotel” kennel facility for the boarding and care of 128 dogs on a wooded 37-acre site with a creek flowing through the eastern edge of the property. The scope of work included construction of a 4000 SF Reception/Check-in/Grooming Structure, construction of a 3000 SF Dog indoor exercise area/daycare/storage structure, interior remodeling of the existing 7000 SF barn/tack Room/Garage to accommodate 150 dog kennels and kitchen and an outdoor pet wading pool. Parking spaces for 20 guests + 10 parking spaces for staff. The existing small barn and caretaker residence will remain. Total built area without caretaker residence is 14,982 SF. The kennel facility will be open 7 days a week from 7am to 7 pm with pick-up and drop-off by appointment only, with 15 minute/4 per hour reservation windows. A reservation-only system for drop-off/pickup will reduce peak traffic interference. There will be 10 full time employees, including administrative and kennel attendants, onsite during business hours and a limited staff at reaming time. Basic grooming services are offered for hotel ‘dog’ guests. The resort will include a commercial kitchen for customized dog meals and a separate section for preparing Cull Canyon Pet Foods for retail sales to the general public.
