Established in 1978 by Newell Arnerich, AIA and Robert Diaz in Berkeley, California, our architectural firm quickly gained recognition for its innovative approach to large-scale mixed-use commercial and residential projects across the western United States. With a steadfast commitment to exceptional design, we expanded our presence to offices in Los Angeles, Oakland, and Honolulu.
In pursuit of global opportunities, in late 1979, we ventured into international markets and established a joint venture office in London, England. This strategic move enabled us to undertake prestigious projects throughout the Middle East, fostering accelerated global communication and promoting clarity of thought and presentation.
During the early 1980s, we embraced emerging technologies, becoming early adopters of CAD systems and database compiling. This pioneering integration of technology provided us with an invaluable resource, enhancing our firm's overall capabilities. Expanding beyond commercial building design, our work encompassed a broader range of technology-driven interior design projects.
Central to our approach is the symbiotic relationship between architecture and interior design.
